My youngest daughter needed some clothes for all of the upcoming events that she's going to attend this coming school year. I haven't purchased anything retail for myself since 2 years and 10 months ago but I buy retail for my girls all the time. So we went to a mall here in Plantation called The Fountains. We've being going to this mall for about 10 years. I was in a very relax mood so my clothes are loose on me and I wore the most comfortable sandals that I could find.
I wore:
Napa Valley shirt, made in Kenya about 3 sizes larger than my usual shirts and just thrifted at the end of June.
Sweetheart red pants also thrifted in June and made in Cambodia.
Thrifted belt purchased about 4 months ago.
Report sandals from Ross; they were purchased for my daughter
but somehow they end up with my shoes.
Bracelets from all of the places that I lived and rings from my times in NYC.
The hearts necklace is from the Indian store by my job and its quite old.
One of my most loved purses; my Paloma Picasso purse.
Thrifted more than 10 years ago.
Here we are on our way to Marshalls to get some shorts, tops and dresses for my daughter.
This entire area was constructed in the last 2 years. The sidewalk where I'm walking used to be a family
owned Italian restaurant that made an amazing lasagna.
These are new condominiums; the Fountains movie theater used to be in this location and all the green area were stores or parking spaces. My girls first movies with friends was in those movies theater but now they gone.
They developers did a good job including many green areas and even though I still feel bad for many of the specialize stores that close down the new green areas are very nice to take a stroll in between the giant stores that have taken over the mall.
More luscious greenery!
Of course The Fountains have many fountains around the mall areas.
Me, myself, my little car and the restaurant behind me is where we sat our behinds to eat.
The cup said it well...
My girl's lunch-dinner was this gigantic burrito and chips.
This are my fajitas and chips. Both plates plus soda were very reasonable and I still had some money left for gas.
This is the inside of Lime; right to the left of us. The wall are yellow and all the wood accent makes it so homey.
The collection of sauces; from mildly heaven to hot as hell.
Have a great rest of the week,

You've very "on-trend" with those lovely red jeans, Ofelia and the floral blouse looks lovely with them.
I can't get over all those different brands of chilli sauce, I love it on my food.
That Mexican food looks delicious. x
Love your necklace, and the picture of the chilli sauces really tickled me!
Nice post and great photos. I love your necklace, its beautiful.
Joanie,thanks you so much!
Lyosha, thanks my dear and yes she got many things but there is still some more stuff that I'll need to get for her right before school start.
Vix, I was lucky when I found the red jeans because in the past I couldn't find any pants that really fit me well at my Salvation Army.
Now, I know what kind of package to send to you for the holidays: all chilli sauces.
Loo, the necklace was the only with this many hearts at the store and it was so cheap because it was on display for about 2 months before I rescue it!
Charlotte, thank you very much!
I love your necklace too Ofelia - and that pretty mirror behind you too! It is a shame when they knock down the old places that have history and memories for us. But I do like the garden spaces and fountains too. Were you successful in your shopping for daughter's new clothes?

I love how you included where your clothes were made... we are becoming much more globalized by the day and I love how dressed up Internationally... as if you included a piece of clothing form different continents... brought them all together in one... not sure how to explain it... you looked smoking hot... loved everything... top to bottom... my favorite color is red... your sandals looked so comfortable...
I also loved the greenery and the cup that said it all... helps people become more aware of their surrounding environment...
Your whole post spoke to me... it was much more than a good look, fantastic greenery and an enjoyable outing...thanks for sharing!
Nice outfit ( the red pants are awesome), good food and the most important:a positive outlook of life. Hugs . Y
Lovely post I love your necklace, great photo's the food looks so good :)
You're looking comfortable for this outing. The necklace is beautiful. I found that when my daughters were in their teens that shopping for them (retail) could be very, very trying.
Is it wrong to covet a necklace that is all about love? Because I do.
Sarah, thanks my dear! The builders did a fantastic job making it more green than concrete which is always nicer to walk and breathe in.
My girl got many items but she still needs 4 more dresses. However no more shopping for a while because I have to wait until I get back to my regular salary.
Tabouleh, you left me such an amazing comment that I can only say: "thank you".
Yoana, I love my red pants too! It was a lucky find and the food was also great.
Claire, the food was a good as it looks.
Terri, my youngest daughter taste in clothes is easy to figure out, my oldest one is very particular about her clothes so it takes some effort to shop with her.
Birdie, it's ok to have love and lust for a necklace that its full with hearts.
Gracias querida Ofelia por sus siempre amables y cariñosos comentarios. Le agradezco el detalle de escribirme en español.
Un abrazo. Y.
Soo how did you know that it was 2 years and 10 months ago? Was it a dramatic end?
Love that bag.....
Yoana, es un placer!
Hay veces que no se me hace muy facil excribir en Espanol porque he estado escribiendo en Ingles por mas de 22 anos.
Paula, 2 years and 10 months ago was the last time I purchased a full price retail item (a dress) for myself. I stop shopping retail for myself because I love my thrifting and I just couldn't afford to shop retail and support my life expenses as well.
Beautiful floral bouse- looks great with those red pants!

Your outfit looks beautiful and comfortable, I'm loving those red pants! However, I'm confused .... where are all people?? I mean ... where I live, a mall is always swarming with people, at all times ....
Michelle, thanks so much!
Rosy, this is a shopping plaza and its divided between big stores, lots of restaurants, residences and lots of parking and green spaces and most people drive around instead of walking so that's why you don't the cluster of people.
Everything about this post is compelling. I love the spaciousness of the shirt with the red pants. And that necklace is wonderful. Where is that Indian store???
And the BAG - OMG - it's, its ..... How do you luck out all the time with these magnificent finds. It's 2:25 a.m. and now, thank you, I am starving for that lucious food. xoxox
I'm missing good burritos at the moment, since I'm away for work. This looks delicious! I love that heart necklace and your bold pants, nice choice. These fountain photos are nice. xxoo
Paula, I must take you to "my" Indian store when you come around this neck of the woods!
Madison, I'm so sorry about not having some burritos but I think that you must finding some good stuff to eat while visiting the islands for your job.
I love your shirt with those soft and sweet colors and flowers !
http://selenite.weebly.com
Selenite, the flowers and the softness of the fabric is what attracted me to the shirt even though is 3 sizes larger than what I usually wear.
I love that necklace (and the color of the pants!). I always bought my kids retail too -- I grew up wanting retail, so how could I blame my kids for wanting it? Are you talking about Plantation Key? My grandparents were in Marathon -- I feel like I grew up with one foot in the Keys.
I adore your outfit!! And admire that you haven't shopped for over 2 years :)
Kari, Its Plantation, Florida in Broward County a bit farther from the Keys.
I do buy my girls retail but just thrift for me.
Angie, thanks for loving my outfit and I haven't shop retail for myself in almost 3 years, just thrift for myself and I continue to wear the many clothes I got from 3 years ago.
