On Friday the 13th....

The number 13th is one of my favorite numbers and it was Friday. So we had to do something celebratory!
Lucky for me my very kind and all around amazing friend Carol got us tickets for The Girl Choir Of South Florida's Sense and Nonsense concert at The Broward Center For The Performing Arts, to see her daughter perform (Her daughter and my youngest daughter are very close).
Carol and I went to another concert  back in February.

And she again got us some great seats and took my youngest daughter out to eat after the concert. The next day, Saturday May 14th I was having a final test and I needed to review a lot of material.

Here are few of my 30 plus pictures from that night....

Carol's daughter is one of the members of the Choir and she also teaches voice lesson and is super bright.

The concert was called Sense and Nonsense because of the selection and mixture of songs and styles.
Some of my favorites were "Ma Bella Bimba" (Italian folk song),  Malolo (Lullaby on a Samoan Text) and Superfcalifragilistic-expialidocious (From Mary Poppins). I have to copy word-by-word from the program in order to write the name of this song!

The Broward Center main walkway. I wore these accessories early on last week
and a co-worker said "I look like a Latin senorita" so I decided that was complimentary
enough for me to wear them again. I'm also very equipted to play the latin senorita part!

I was wearing:
Lacoste cardigan (about 10 years old).
Arden B. skirt, thrifted a couple of months ago.
White tank from Walmart men section.
Montego Bay Club Sandals. Skin tone stockings.
Blue purse from a mall store that I don't remember (about 10 years ago).

At The Broward Center For The Performing Arts entrance in Ft Lauderdale.
My girl is wearing the dress I wore here  The yellow purse and the necklaces are
also from my closet.

The Center is located at a hill and has lucious gardens and a few sculpture.

Sculpture name and artist. If you remove the Cell its almost my name in English.

By the box office. The concert was sold out.

This part of the riverside is opposite to the area where I was
for the Benefit for Japan as seen here.

Right across from the Amaturo Theater where the concert was going to take place.
I'll be back to this theater on june 4th for a meet and greet with winning filmmaker, Ken Burns
about his new Prohibition Documentary. Can't Wait!!!

The girls in the middle of a performance.

Patiently waiting for the concert to start. It got crowded very quickly after this photo was taken. Love the  chairs color. Its actually a kind of purple but it look blue with the flash?

The Choir performing.  Carol's daughter is the one on the top line
with the glasses.

This is the side exit area.
After the concert the girls, families and friends were going to I-HOP(International House of Pancakes). Carol gave my girl a ride because I needed to go home and study for my Saturday final exam.

My new necklace (on the left), matching bracelet  and hoop earrings were a mother's day present.

Love this purse, the inside is made with silk!
Love all the colorful beads and sequins.

Great colors overall and I love the color of the seats, just as you described them: purple although they apear to be blue; such a magical look!!
The purse is gorgeous, I love all the little beads and sequins they are the best colors they could be.
And 13 is also one of my favorite numbers :) my alltime favorite is 8, but 13 comes in on second place :) nothing bad has ever come from number 13 to me... so let's hope it keeps on being that way ;)

Have a nice day!!
