All about Oliver and ....

We have been running a marathon-like week...

Thursday to Sunday my youngest daughter was a pick-pocketing orphan at her high school drama production of Oliver.

I was there for 3 out of 4 shows, drove around buying lunches, dinners, shoes, pants, taking kids home, picking up flowers and many more duties that escape my tired memory.

Here are few of the 70 plus photos that we took...

Before the show started the "orphans" were making their rounds
around the theater asking the patrons for food.

Best "orphan" of all!

Singing "Consider Yourself"...
I knew all the songs before the show started and now
after 3 consecutive shows I really know every word of all the songs.

After the show the entire cast and some of us lucky and very tired
parents, the director's family and more cast friends and family
members went to eat at the main character's (Oliver) parent's
restaurant, called Petitas International Grill.
It was a loud, energetic and fantastic good time.

Youngest girl is wearing: My skirt, my collar necklace, her shirt and her lovely
red gloves. She is now really into the 1940's. When she was
younger it was hippie all the way but she discover the 40's and 50's and
those are her decades now. Older girl was at boyfriend's house and couldn't make to the party.

My very late and delicious dinner; lomo saltado (sauteed beef).

Here is a closer look at my outfit:

Target shirt, I already wore it many times before.
East skirt, thrifted last week.

Dollhouse sandals, thrifted last week as well.
The sandals have little hearts all around the front and back.

The two"cooper" bracelets and the yellow one were another
of my last week's thrift finds.
Necklaces were gifts from my good friend, Maria.

I adore this small purse. It's made from a jean fabric, it has fringe
and the handle is beautifully detailed. No name tag on it
and it's part of my thrift load from last week.

Some of my girl's  flowers!

This roses were giving by her aunt and my niece after the saw the show on Saturday.

These pics look wonderful - isn't Oliver great? Your daughter makes a very beautiful orphan and I adore the outfit you wore to dinner - that red looks beautiful on you.

Hope you have a chance to put your feet up now, and how nice that the house is full of flowers! xx

Love your red outfit and those gorgeous sandals. I'd be delighted to find a pair of those in a charity shop. xxx

Vix, she was a very happy and gorgeous orphan!
The sandals were a fantastic find because I usually can't find shoes that fit me properly at the thrift stores.

I do think that we very lucky to have reach this time in your lives when we get along fine and I don't feel like I had to send them to the planet of forgotten teens.

Dressingup-everyday, thanks so much!

Shulamit, I'm very bad for recipes because I usually cook by instinct. I love red and often buy any article of clothing (that fits) in red.
Oliver is one of the best family shows and the songs are quite catchy.
