It has been so unbelievably hot and sticky humid that my air conditioning has being running as much as I have.
After last week of dressing in pants and jeans...
This week I've been in flower skirts and tops.
Shirt and skirt from New York&Company (6 or 7 years ago)
My take on the lady in waiting pose.
Montego Bay Club sandals, thrifted a month and a half ago.
Thrifted sunglasses.
Skirt close up. This is the reason why I bought
the skirt: pink, yellow, orange and white flowers.
The necklaces are all from South Florida
and they were purchased at different street fairs
or festivals. They all made from plants seeds.
Bracelets from DOTS and my favorite
Salvation Army store.
Hand made rattan straw purse.
Thrifted back in 2003.
The inside tag says: Made in the British Colony
of Hong Kong.
According to the tag all the trim is leather.
I paid $5.00 for it and it's still has the price
written on the tag.
The work done on this bag is just
amazing!
Smiling instead of crying after seeing how much
it is to fill out my little car tank!!!!
So much of my budget goes for gas that
our family outings have to be very well planned
and coordinated. I know that I'm not the only
one going through this "money crunch" situation and
there are always others whom have it worse than me.
On the road again, going places that I need to be...
Luckily I took a different route to get home and we
got there pretty fast.
Have a great coming weekend!

Hawt!! You and Florida, that is!
That Fuschia colour looks stunning on you - really pretty - and I love the skirt. Try filling up your car in UK if you want to cry - there's a place to deposit your jewellery at every pump! XXXX
the colour looks stunning on you :)
That bag, that bag!!! What a beautiful find that was. I love all that hippie wooden jewellery, too. I always did mine out when it's summertime, it seems to sit better with sunshine and floaty frocks.
Petrol prices are awful here, luckily I can walk to most places. xxx
Ofelia, you look gorgeous and I love that raffia bag and all of your lovely jangly banglies!
I also adore your lovely turns of phrase: 'money crunchy' and 'running errants'!!
I hope you have a lovely weekend - not too hot and humid.
Sarah xxx
Love the colour, the outfit looks great have a lovely weekend :)
That color is the best I have seen for you. Love it.
I lived in Ft Myers for several years a long time ago. The hot season was a killer for me. I don't do well with heat. But it was beautiful.
Ann, I know Florida is a great place to live. Hugely expensive but OH so nice!
Mrs. Exeter, I can only image the gas prices in The UK!
You are so right I would probably have to pay with my jewelry.
Viviane, thanks so much my dear!
Vix, the bag was an amazing and lucky find!
Unfortunately here in South Florida we have to drive everywhere.
Sarah, thanks my dear!
The weekend is going to be great with classes, a concert and a benefit for Japan.
Clairejustine, thanks so much and you have a lovely weekend as well.
Judy, even though I was born and raise in the Islands, the heat here is at times, extreme to me as well.
The work on the bag is so beautiful, what a great find! the jwewllery goes so well! -xxoo

yup you are right--amazing purse! And I love this full skirt on you and such a gorgeous print. I am jealous of the heat--grass is always greener, no? Still wearing long underwear here....
Madison, the work done in the purse is quite amazing and I was lucky to get it for cheap!
Paula, I like the warm weather but the humidity makes it difficult to enjoy.
I much prefer skirts when our weather gets humid. And I have to admit that the price of gas is cutting into my thrifting...
Lovely floral and pink outfit, very refreshing, I love all the accessories too !

Ofelia, do you know why I love your blog?
Okay, for your beautiful outfits.
Okay, for the great jewels and bags, and how you put it all together.
Yes, for all those and more reasons that have to do with your incredible fashion sense.
But here is the main reason, I MUST visit you all the time B E C A U S E
You make me happy. You have such a love of life and joy that comes through with everything you wear, say, be.
My spirits are raised, no matter what is going on with me and the world, as soon as that first photo lights up my computer screen.
And that's why I love your blog and you - for all the gifts you give.
Now I must ask you this. Where are all these Florida street fairs????!!!! I meticulousy read the Palm Beach Post weekend magazine and have never, ever found a hint of street fairs. They are my most favorite thing. NYC has them all over the place every weekend during summer. I am having huge withdrawl symptoms.
Point me to them, please, please. Where do I look to find them?
Hi my dear-what a lovely post, I just adore your floral skirt and the bag is amazing, that was a real gem of a find!! Hope you're having a good weekend too xxx
Terri, the price of gas is cutting into every aspect of my budget!
But we are still very lucky to have the opportunity to travel around and have our little (and cheap) adventures.
Selenite, thanks so much. I felt very refreshing in deed!
Lydz, I've been in a Spring/Summer fashion mood since about 3 weeks ago.
Paula, I'm very happy and humble by your comments and I can only say "THANK YOU".
Some of the Fairs and Festival where I had gotten my some of my jewelry are In: Miami Beach, Sunrise, Davie, Ft. Lauderdale, Plantation, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Margate, Tamarac...
Sometimes the malls have inside jewelry and clothes fair and some of the local churches have "bazaars" and lots of rummage sales.
Sharon, you will se me in a lot of full flower skirts within the next months because that's all I like to wear during the Summer months.
Ooh gorgeous bag! I like very much!Yup, I've been very lucky with the Cacharel recently, delighted about it! xx
Love each things you wear, especially the skirt.
Comtesse, you find fantastic items during your thrifting outings and you are very lucky to find some Cacharel.
They are one of my favorite design houses, I used to owned some of their dresses back in the 80's.
Dressingup-everyday, thank you very much. You have a very feminine and sophisticated way of dressing!
