A week of dressing with jeans, and more jeans...

Last week was a bit insane at work and at home! So I dressed in jeans and very comfortable shoes because there were a lot of running around to be done all week....

Cardigan from Target (very old).
a.n.a shirt, thrifted last month.

Calvin Klein jeans.
Converse tennis shoes.

Sunglasses were part of a bag of sunnies that my
oldest daughter gave me last year.
Thrifted belt. The bracelets on the left are carved flowers.
All bracelets from DOTS and a
local yoga shop.

Michael Rome by Besozzi
 leather purse (made in Italy),
thrifted (8 or 9 years ago).
When I was in line for the cash register,
an older lady behind me told
me to look at the label because this was a great
find!

Closer look of the accessories. I wore the bigger bracelet
in the morning and the flower ones in the afternoon.
Necklaces are from the Salvation Army store in
Ft. Lauderdale (3 or 4 years old).

The jacket was a thrift find from last year and
has no name tag. My old jeans from Walmart
white tank from Walmart men's section.

Old Oxford shoes from Marshalls.
My quite spacious Lapis purse.

Necklaces were a gift to myself on my birthday (5 years old)
Rings from TJMaxx (2009).
Two pins were presents (dragonfly and butterfly) from friends when I lived
in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (late 90's).
The other one is an old earring that I got
in at a New York antique shop.
Bracelets from everywhere and the hop earrings
from QVC.

Splendid flower detail. This were the reasons
why I purchased this purse. By now you should
my love of anything with flowers and bright colors.

Old New York&Company cardigan.
Cargo pants from Marshalls.
Trusty old gold Roman sandals.

Zara purse, thrifted a couple of months ago.
Gold and gold-like accessories from are from all the
places that I had lived.
The heart one was purchased here in
South Florida.

Another pair of my Calvin jeans.
Worthington jacket from JCPenney's.

Red necklaces from Steinmart.
Gold and gold-like necklaces same as the
photos above.

Converse tennis shoes,
thrifted two months ago.

Tommy Hilfiger purse from his store
at The Sawgrass Mall in Plantation, Florida.
Many suns and moons ago when I used to
shop retail.

One of my favorite concert-shirts of all times. I always had love Green Day,
even when their albums were not that popular. I owned almost
all of their cd's and have always play their music in my house.
I took my girls to their 2005 concert at The Bank Atlantic Center.
They were very few young girls at the concerts so they
got a lot of attention. We jump up and down, sang,
screamed and went bananas for the the entire duration
of the concert. They were incredible!
I've been to over 200 concerts in my life and this was
one of my favorites.
I loved that evening so much!

Cardigan from target.
Orange Crush Soda t-shirt from the men's section
at Target.

Homage to my favorite soda!

Walmart Jeans.
Converse tennis shoes.

My very handsome Indian purse.

The rings and earrings are from QVC from
the late 90's. The necklaces were purchased
here in South Florida around 2004.
Indian bracelets from a local shop.

I'm thinking I'll go denim, white and florals come May. You've done much to inspire me here...as you really know how to dress up a pair of jeans. I loved the carved bracelets in the first look, the neckline on the green jacket. I am also starting to think that you are on expert on purses. I wish I lived closer to go thrifting with you.

As usual, all of your outfits are vibrant and gorgeous! I especially love the blue jacket and the yellow jacket, the flower bag, the white flower bracelets and all of your jingle jangle bangles!

Terri, I'm obsessed. with purses and accessories the way some women are obsessed with shoes.
I would love to go shopping with you; you never know maybe some time you can take a South Florida vacation!

Sarah, after seen your fabulous and colorful scarfs collection I can tell that we both like bright colors.

Mrs. Exeter, thanks so much. You are probably dressing beautifully while enjoying your time in France.

Viviane, thanks and you know that I love to see pictures of you cool boho style and your lovely city.

Clairejustine, you are such an inspiration! I don't have the patience or the strength to follow any 30 days challenges. Maybe is because I have to follow so many rules in my daily life that I can't do it when it comes to my dressing.

Lydz,thanks so much.
You know that I admire your mixture of colors, accessories and textures.

Loo, during this hot month here in South Florida I usually wear skirts but last week I really needed my faithful old jeans.

You always look so good, Ofelia. Even in basic jeans and tees you know how to add jewellery and ethnic touches to show your creative and fabulous personality. xxx

I really enjoy that I can see so many outfits in a post when I come to your blog. You have such an impressive jewelry collection. I don't mind jeans as long as they have a little bit of stretch in them.

fashionoverfifty said...

Yup, ofelia, your jewelry is TO DIE FOR! ok so my faves were the light green jacket, & the yellow jacket. Calvin klein are my favorite jeans too altho, funny; I am not so comfortable in jeans. would rather do leggings or a skirt.

Ofelia said...

Vix, I could live in jeans and t-shirts so I had to find the way to make them my own!

Ofelia said...

Iman, a bit of stretch in our jeans is always helpful. One thing I don't like is rip jeans,
If they get rip from to much use well that's ok to me but buy those jeans that are rip from bottom to top are just
a waste of money!

Paula, I love to wear skirt as well but for me jeans are the ultimate comfort; specially if I can also wear tennis shoes and my favorite tees.

I'm so distracted by your amazing floral applique purse! LOVE. The bracelets and jewelry are great too, but right now the room has gone dim, and nothing exists but that gorgeous charming handbag!

You never cease to amaze me with the way you put your "looks" together. So full of life. Such an amazing collection.
Here's an idea for a picture post selfishly suggested by me.
A photo show of all your fabulous jewelry with explanations.
A photo show of all your fabulous bags, the same, with history.

I have to find a better place to thrift.

Bella, I always appreciate your lovely comments about my purses and I know that if I ever want to give any of my lovely bags to anyone who would love them as much as me : that will be you!

Ofelia said...

Paula, that sounds like a great post.
I may have to wait until the summer because it will have to be done in parts.
Thanks so much for the idea; it's now engraved in my mind!

Yo siempre he estado obsecionada con acesorios y carteras asi como hay muchas mujeres que se obsecionan con los zapatos.
