Finally a new cellular, some food and...

I finally got a new cellphone...
I miss my old one however this one is so nice and shiny!!!

In need of lots of Cafe Bustelo and brown sugar!

My new cellular. I only had to pay a fraction of the cost because I haven't change my cell in 3 years. The store associate couldn't believe it!

For my adventure of getting a new cellular I wore:

My old Levi's skinny jeans.
Sarah, check it out: Its my Jimmy Hendrix men's shirt from Target (6 years old)!
My new Gap brown jacket and brown belt (thrifted last week).
Yellow chucks (1 year old).
My rainbow Caribbean Joe purse (7 years old).

My bracelets are gifts from my kids and the ring and necklaces are gifts from me to my kids (We are always borrowing from each other).

After going through a very difficult and heartfelt cellular relationship termination and a most welcome with open arms beginning of another we were very darn hungry and in desperate need of nutrients in our bodies. So we went to a local Columbian restaurant called La Placita (The Little Plaza).

Youngest daughter order chicken with tostones and white rice and red beans (habichuelas rojas).

I ordered a good old and well seasoned fish, salad, white rice and tostones. I think Terri can cook this dish with some Goya spices.

The Colombian "Salsa" has a stronger pepper taste than the Peruvian or Mexican salsa.

White rice and red beans.

Me in food heaven!

Tostones with salsa. I dedicated this photo to Vix; I know she would love to eat some tostones!

Yeah, Carbs! The do our latin bodies good!!!!

Ofelia, congrats on your new cellie! I am so similar! I had the same cell phone for years, a very unfancy model, and I guess it was so old, people thought I was trying to look retro with it. Well, I was offered a chance to try a smart phone, and I fell heads over the new iPhone. I can't believe the difference. I feel like I'm dragging around a little mini-computer- which I am. So now I can check my twitter, my facebook and take pictures. Oh yeah, and make a phone call.

Here's to new tech toys!

Sarah, thank you. I guess we are yellowholics and Jimiholics!!!

Bella, I love technology. My new phone has so many things; is going to take me a while before I realized how much stuff it can do!!!

Believe it or not, I haven't carried a cell phone in years now. It's good that you haven't fallen for every trend in cell phones over the years. Thanks for thinking of me in posting about the fish...just as soon as the kitchen remodel is done. Appliances (and the bill for them) arrive next Tuesday.

Terri, I'm a bit addicted to my cellphone. I tried to call my friends at least once a week and I'm very good (not very fast) at texting. My kids are in charge of the phone when I'm driving and when I'm on my own, I let it go to voice mail!
Get some good white wine in preparation for Tuesday's appliances and installation bills!!!

Those toostones have got me drooling here and it's only 7.30am. I love you in your blazer, skinnies and Jimi Hendrix tee. You have the rare ability to look feminine and sexy in what could be tricky items to pull of, that's because you're hot, lady!
I'm awful with technology. I'm always forgetting to take out my mobile (a hand me down) or turning it on. It drives my friends daft. I really need a new one as this one's ten years old but the whole process of visiting a phone shop scares the hell out of me! xxx

Vix, you can eat tostones at any time! Thanks for the hot lady thing!!!
Technology is so much part of our every day lives. I tried to avoid it but at the end I gave into it and now I'm in love with it!

Sharon, the food was so good or maybe it was the hunger! Love my Gap jacket too. It is a bit Angus Young!!!

Love the chucks and like you I've had the same phone for three years. I'm not getting a new one until it completely falls apart. All of the food looks so delicious. This post is making me hungry.

Iman, thanks on my yellow chucks. I did not see any reason or need to change my cell until it die! The sale associate kept saying "you know, most people change their cell every year".

You keep clothes as long as I do! I'm impressed.

Wendy, I tried to keep my clothes for longer now. For many years I got rid of great pieces and at times, I wish I had kept them for my daughters!
