Modern Art at it best!
It was incredible, visually overwhelming and stimulating at the same time. I felt so happy and lucky to see pieces of art from a variety of artists that I had adored and followed for years. This are just some of them:
Cindy Sherman conceptual portraits. She becomes characters and takes photographs of herself as this characters.

Yinka Shonibare is a British born (raise in Nigeria) artist known for his exploration of colonialism and the use of bright colored fabrics. Sometimes he paints himself as a rich aristocrat. He is partially disable

Vik Muniz is Brazilian artist that lives in New York City, he is known for working with "non-art" materials like parts of cars, diamonds, caviar and garbage. This piece is call "Nail Fetish" and its carved basswood, old
nails, cloth and strings

Andy Warhol!!!!!

Kehinde Wiley a new york artist that paints young African-American men in traditionally female poses.
His paintings are full of classic essence and pop culture references

Robert Indiana work is simple and bold. He incorporates signs, letters, words and numbers to create accessible works of art
Resting my feet in Lincoln Road after all the excitement of the art exhibitions(Andy Warhol Purse, apt9 skirt, sagharbor boots)
Sorry for the length of this post there are still so many more pictures and artist that I would like to write about

Ofelia--I love your skirt. This looks like a museum worth visiting! I had heard of Nick Cave (is it the work that lights up as the wearer moves?) Yayoi Kusama was new to me, and I wondered if the woman in red is the artist herself.
I got the skirt at my favorite salvation army on their half price day. Well Nick Cave "Soundsuits" are reflective of lights but they mainly make sounds as the person wears them. And the lady in red is Ms Kusama she is 8o or 81 years old. She been around since the 60's and I first saw her work back in 1982
What a fascinating array of art. That looks a brilliant exhibition both in the variety of exhibits and use of colour. That picture of you relaxing at the end is just lovely. xxx
Thank You Vix. It was an incredible exhibition. I was in an art cloud for days. We took around a 100 pictures; it was very hard to edit tis post.
